We’re not born homophobic, or as racists, insecure or scared, happy or sad. We’re all born as a blank page, with a pen. We can’t completely decide who mark us, who tear us apart, we can’t erase the things people wrote on our bodies, on our heart. But we can change the story, rewrite it. We can change our mind. We can decide who we let in, and to who we listen to. But never let them take your pen, your opinion, your thoughts, your choices and dreams, because as much as we are out of control of our own bodies, we are that much in control of how we mark others. Sometimes there’s too much damage done, sometimes we can’t rewrite our thoughts and feelings, but never forget you can always flip the page. Rosanna Espis
